Music Flashcards Game: learn to read piano notes online
Reading music fluently comes down to regular practice, and this game makes that practice quick and fun. A note appears on the staff and you name it. A few minutes a day builds your speed and sight-reading confidence – on your phone, tablet or computer, right in your browser.

What is the Music Flashcards Game?
It is a note-reading game from Keyz Music Lessons in Alberton. A flashcard shows a note on the treble or bass clef and you name it as fast as you can. Short, regular rounds train your eyes and memory, which is the foundation of reading music and sight-reading at the piano.
Which notes and levels can I practise?
You can practise the treble clef, the bass clef or both, with sharps and flats, at easy, medium and hard levels. The harder levels cover a wider range of notes.
Do I need to install an app?
No. The game runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so there is nothing to download or install.
Can the game listen to me play my piano?
Yes. With microphone note recognition switched on, you play the note on your own piano or keyboard and the game listens and checks that you played it correctly.
Is the game free for Keyz Music students?
Yes. Students of Keyz Music Lessons play free. Ask your teacher for your personal access code.
How do I get full access?
If you are not a Keyz Music student, you can get an access code from our Keyz Piano Theory site. Your personal code is emailed straight after payment and you can choose 1 month, 12 months, 30 days access.
